It was also launched at a similar price and has similar offers. And look, both smartphones fall into the compact category. But which phone is more suitable for you?
Today, in this blog, we’ll compare both phones, and by the end, you’ll have a conclusion: if I buy this one, it’s going to be better for me.

Design & Build Quality
Starting with the design, I think both phones are quite premium. You get an aluminum frame and a glass back. You’ll see the VTS 2 on the front of both phones.
But when it comes to compact phones, which one is more compact? So, here, I’d say the Samsung Galaxy S24 feels a little more compact. It’s lighter and slimmer, so the H24 has a slight edge.
If I talk about the Pixel, it’s a bit heavier than this one, but overall it feels much more solid.
If I talk about IP ratings, both offer IP68.
Haptics, Audio & Fingerprint
Where the Pixel excels is its haptics. I think Google’s haptics are one of the best in this price category, and the Pixel excels there. Even the stereo speakers seem slightly better to me than the Pixel’s.
But yes, the fingerprint sensor works well on both. The Samsung has ultrasonic sensors, and both are quite reliable.
Display

Now, if I talk about the displays on both phones, you get a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of display size, the Pixel has a slightly larger display, at 6.3 inches, compared to a 6.2-inch display, which is supposed to be LTP. So, yes, its panel is slightly superior. Here, you’ll find higher refresh rates, between 1 and 120 Hz.
However, when it comes to panel quality, I think both are excellent. You won’t encounter any issues. Any content you watch will appear extremely vibrant. So, there’s no issue there.
The only thing is that the Pixel’s bezels seem a bit larger when compared to the S24. But, overall, you won’t have any issues with either phone. The brightness of both is sufficient, making them easily visible outdoors.
Performance

But where the difference lies is in performance. The S24, until now, came with the Exynos, which was similar to the Pixel Tensor G4. This meant that heating issues were also common on this phone.
But now, you’ll find the 8Z3 on sale, which will obviously heat up a little less than the Exynos. But in terms of daily usage, both phones don’t overheat. Both are very smooth, with no visible lag.
The Pixel runs on Android 16. The S24 runs on beta 1 UI 8. Yes, it’s also running Android 16, but an official update is coming soon.
Talking about updates, both phones have six years of updates, which is a significant number. So, there’s no problem there.
But when it comes to gaming, I’d say the S24 will perform better than the Pixel, as the 83 is more powerful. If I talk about N2 benchmark scores, as you can see here, we have the Xenon variant. The difference is quite significant there, but with 83, the difference will increase even more.
But I’ve always said that the pixel optimization is very good. There’s no lag anywhere. But if you look at raw performance, the S24 is now better.
However, there’s a slight edge in pixels: its base variant now comes with 1256, while this one will have 8128. So, keep that in mind during this sale.
Camera

Now, let’s talk about the camera. So, if you look at the hardware, you have a dual camera setup: a 50% main camera, a 48% ultra-wide camera.
And if you look at the S24, you get a proper triple camera setup, including an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto camera, which allows you to take 3X optical zoom photos.
Both front cameras come with autofocus. You can record 4K 60fps video on both phones.
And in video, I think the Pixel has the edge here. Now, whether you take a video from the front or the back, I find the Pixel’s quality to be slightly better.
However, when it comes to images, both phones don’t perform consistently. However, I do find the H24’s images to be slightly better in daylight because its colors are more pleasing to me. They’re a bit more vibrant. The Pixel’s focus leans more towards natural tones.
And when it comes to portraits, you’ll find the S24 to have a 3x zoom option on both phones. However, I do see a slight edge in portraits as well.
In low light, there’s not much difference. You’ll see almost similar shots.
So, overall, the Pixel is better in video, but in my opinion, if you’re looking at the Pixel, you’ll see a slight difference in the pixel’s resolution.
